Have you been missing us this year at the market? We’ve been missing you too!!!
That’s why KS Coffee has picked up a few Saturdays at the market throughout the summer. Come out and see your favorite MRV roaster-barista team for a tasty pourover (hot or cold) or just to say hi and catch up!
And if you haven’t hit up the Waitsfield Farmer’s Market yet this year, you gotta get there. It’s one of the best in the state! See you there!
Morefest is a FREE annual Mad River Valley community festival taking place Saturday, September 7th. This event includes a pie contest, car show, corn roast, touch-a-truck and climbing wall for kiddos, beer tent for the adults, LIVE MUSIC for all from Mad Mountain Scrambles, appearance by Rusty Dewees (The Logger), food vendors, artisan vendors, and FIREWORKS! Come drop by the booth for a cup of coffee to accompany the pie contest eats or your slice from the cheesecake vendor!
Starting this week, KS Coffee’s 230gram (8oz.) retail packages will be stocked at Mad River Taste Place. It is very exciting to launch the new 100% compostable packaging by releasing it in a retail location. Only a handful of bags will be released at a time so that the coffee is always fresh off the roast. Since KS Coffee roasts only a mile from MRTP, you can be sure the coffee will always be fresh. Mad River Taste Place is a specialty food market featuring local makers. MRTP brings outstanding quality products to the consumer who wants to know more about their products, like how they were made, who they were made by, and what makes them stand out above others. This makes the venue perfect for KS Coffee, as we are super focused on sourcing specialty coffees that stand out for their unique flavor profiles, with sustainability as a defining part of their back stories, whether it is environmental, socioeconomic, agricultural, or minority driven sustainable practices.
Here are your TOP 5 reasons to run to MRTP this weekend to grab a bag of KS Coffee:
Transparency-Single origin coffee down to the farm, estate, or mill level; often traceable down to the lot and variety.
100% compostable packaging
Outstanding quality coffee with unique flavors and aromas, some of which have won international recognition for their quality through the Alliance for Coffee Excellence or other organizations and competitions.
The coffee is suuuuuuuuper fresh. You never need to buy old coffee again. Check those roast dates. A couple weeks off roast does make a difference!
To support a local, women-owned business in the Mad River Valley. GO VT!!
May this be the first of many brick and mortar locations………………………
New coffees have been delivered! In a small departure from our regular Central American offerings, we have limited quantity offerings of two African coffees. These will tide us over until the fresh crop of Centrals come in early to mid summer. We are making room for the new stuff, so you will find sale pricing on our Nicaragua Jinotega and Costa Rica Santa Maria Coopedota coffees in the shop.
KS Coffee paired up with Zero Gravity to produce a Turkish coffee stout, aptly named Fine Grind. Our freshly roasted Nicaragua Jinotega is featured with this mildly hopped stout, and balances so well against the backdrop of chocolatey, roasty malts and spices. The warming cardamom and cinnamon spice profile make this coffee stout a fantastic winter beer. You can currently find this on tap at American Flatbread on St. Paul Street in Burlington, VT! It is a limited release, so go grab a glass or a growler soon!
Will soon be a limited offering on NITRO tap at the Zero Gravity location on Pine Street too!
KS Coffee will be featuring our freshly roasted coffee, brewed as pour overs by our star barista at a multi-roaster VT event. Carrier Roasting Co. and Good Measure Brewing Co. are opening their doors to a new wave of coffee roasters for a celebration of coffee and beer. The event will be on October 28 and will feature coffee tastings from the roasters, numerous coffee-based beers, and food.
This is a free event! Click here to register.
