This microlot comes from Finca Beatriz, a farm owned by Felipe Ramirez in the San Pedro Necta region of Huehuetenango. This coffee growing region is well known for producing high altitude coffees, with crisp, fruity acidity and complexity. This SHB coffee was grown at 1500 meters, and is composed of caturra and typica varieties. Like many coffee farms in this region, it is remote, so the processing takes place on the premises.

This coffee was chosen for a few reasons. As with all our coffees, it is has a very clean flavor profile and it cupped very well, but as an added bonus, it is versatile at different roasting profiles. It maintains its sweetness whether prepared as a pour over, drip, or espresso. This coffee is marked by a taste profile of caramelized citrus, dried cherry, toffee, milk chocolate, and toasted nuts. It is the most well balanced coffee we currently offer, and has enough body to back it up-perfect for a chilly morning cuppa.

Transparency Note: This coffee was obtained through La Minita importing company. While we hope to create direct relationships with the farmers we get coffee from, that is not always possible, and we are grateful for our U.S. coffee importers.
